Statement: My work is about manifesting a mood that invokes a visceral response. Rooted in instinct rather than logical thought the reaction I seek is more of a gut response, more heartfelt with emotions sparked by deep feelings and memories. Using the language of abstract painting to convey my intent, I employ saturated colors and expressive brushwork to tell my story.
Bio: I've been an working artist for over 4 decades. Originally from the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota where I maintained a professional studio. I relocated my artist life to the Beaches of South Walton in NW Florida where I maintained a professional art studio, gallery and picture framing business. In 2017 I moved inland to build a larger studio space, have room for my 6 rescue Labradors to be wild dogs, and space to garden specifically for flowers. My art portfolio is filled with many different subjects painted over the years with lots of abstracts and a heart project series titled "The Ocean Moods" was a long running series of over 300 paintings. I'm honored to have many works hanging in prestigious collections and noted architectural homes along the Gulf Coast and beyond. My current body of work in 2026 is focused on abstract floral still life as subject and muse.
