Rooted in instinct rather than logical thought, the reaction I seek is more of a gut response---heartfelt, with emotions sparked by deep feelings and memories. Using the language of abstract painting to convey my intent, I layer saturated colors and expressive brushwork to tell my story.
I've been a working artist for over three decades. Originally from the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, I relocated 30 yrs ago to the 30A area of South Walton in NW Florida where I maintained a professional art studio, gallery, and picture framing business.
In 2017, I moved inland to build a larger studio, have room for my six rescue Labradors to run wild, and space to garden specifically for flowers. My current body of work in 2026 focuses on abstract floral still life as subject and muse.

7.5 miles south of Defuniak Springs off HWY 331 or 27 miles from the
beach communities of Scenic HWY 30A in Walton County. Florida.
