ABOUT THE WORK
My work reimagines the botanical world, translating the literal form of a flower into a visual dialogue of painterly discovery. Rather than adhering to traditional still life, my paintings capture the ephemeral emotions and memories that flowers awaken. Through an intuitive process of layering pigment, drips, splashes, and expressive brushwork, I weave a wordless narrative that shares my personal interpretation of the botanical story.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I've been a working artist for over four decades. Originally from the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, I relocated to the 30A area of South Walton in NW Florida where I maintained a professional art studio, gallery, and picture framing business.
In 2017, I moved to DeFuniak Springs Florida to build a larger studio, have room for my rescue Labradors, and space to garden specifically for flowers. My current body of work in 2026 is a focus on abstract florals as subject and muse.
In 2021, I was honored to be included in the Art In Embassies Program in La Paz Bolivia
