Hard Candies title came from a Christmas childhood memory. Every holiday my Mom had a ritual of placing a huge bowl of unshelled nuts and a small bowl of hard colorful candies on the coffee table. The candy was so colorful and pretty but we were not allowed to eat any without permission. Needless to say I spent a lot of time staring at this pretty bowl of yummies. So when this memory kept flashing through my mind as I was painting this bouquet I just had to name it Hard Candies.
